A-Frame with Slats

We curate design directions like this one to help clients see a vision before it's built.

About this project

A-Frame with Slats

This design direction is built around one of the most enduring forms in residential architecture — the steeply pitched gable — reinterpreted through a modern, material-conscious lens. The defining features are the full-height gable window that floods the interior with natural light, and the warm wood slat detailing that carries from the exterior facade through to the interior ceiling and wall surfaces. The result is a home that feels open and structural at the same time.

Natural materials — stone, timber, concrete — do the decorative work, so the architecture never has to try too hard. Inside, vaulted ceilings create volume without excess, and the connection between interior space and the landscape outside is intentional at every turn. This is a direction for clients who want a home with a strong architectural identity, built from honest materials, and designed to feel just as right in ten years as it does on day one.
